Low-temperature cold air units for scientific research are air-cooled refrigeration equipment that provides a cold source ranging from -5°C to -40°C for research experiments. At specific temperatures, researchers can read the physical data of experiments. The temperature range of the low-temperature cold air units introduced by our company: the new natural air can reach as low as -40°C, operating continuously 24 hours a day; the cold air can reach as low as -90°C, operating continuously 24 hours a day.

Working Principle

According to the principle of the refrigeration system: low-temperature, low-pressure liquid refrigerant undergoes heat exchange with the air flowing into the evaporator. The evaporator absorbs heat from the air. During the evaporation process, the temperature of the refrigerant remains unchanged. The liquid refrigerant evaporates into a low-temperature, low-pressure gaseous refrigerant and enters the compressor. After being compressed by the compressor, it becomes a high-temperature, high-pressure gaseous refrigerant and then enters the condenser. In the condenser, it undergoes heat exchange with the natural air drawn by the cooling fan, discharging the heat of the high-temperature, high-pressure refrigerant out of the unit. The refrigerant flows out of the condenser and passes through a dryer filter to remove moisture or other impurities contained in the refrigerant during the evaporation process. It then enters the expansion valve for expansion and throttling, which is a rapid cooling process. The refrigerant becomes a low-temperature, low-pressure liquid. After this process, the refrigerant re-enters the evaporator for heat exchange and evaporation, thereby completing the entire refrigeration system process. This cycle continues continuously, allowing the water to achieve continuous refrigeration. The cold air is then delivered to the desired cooling destination through the fan via the air outlet.

Unit Selection

Low-temperature cold air units for scientific research are available in split and integrated designs. The split type is suitable for space cooling, with an installation method similar to that of household air conditioners: the condenser is installed outdoors, while the main unit is installed indoors. The integrated unit is more widely applicable, with the main unit for space cooling placed outdoors and connected to air ducts leading indoors. Note: This is fresh air and can also be configured as recirculated air.
